Caradog Jones Lectures

The Caradog Jones Lectures have been given roughly biennially since 1967 and are jointly organised by:

  • The Royal Statistical Society

  • The Galton Institute

  • The Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge

The lecture is arranged in rotation by one of the three organisers.

The lecturer should preferably be under the age of 35 and the subject of the lecture should be directly related to the improvement of social conditions and/or of international relations, eg:

  1. The improvement of the quality of the population of Great Britain

  2. The improvement of relations between employers and employed in Great Britain

  3. The improvement of relations between nations to prevent war

The lecture may be published by the Royal Statistical Society or The Galton Institute.
